Winter Sowing with Wild Ones
Advent Lutheran Church in Arlington, VA
Public Welcome Free Event Chapter Meeting Hands-On/How-To Workshop Public Restroom
Please join us to learn about and plant - native seeds via Winter Sowing! This will be a fun and interactive hands-on activity.
Please either bring the following supplies or please include in your RSVP that you want to have supplies provided to you for a $5 activity fee.
Gallon milk or spring/distilled water jug, potting mix (such as Miracle Grow potting mix), duct tape, plant marker stick, outdoor permanent marker, native seeds.
If you have extra native needs to share, please bring them along.
Please let us know if you want supplies provided so we have the right amount of materials for everyone.
Note: the day before 2/4/23 - there will be a Washington Gardener Seed Exchange at Green Spring Gardens Park Sat, 02/04/2023 12:30 PM - 4:30 PM. If you get seeds there, as our event is a Wild Ones event, please get only native seeds for our activity of winter sowing.
While having fun playing with our hands in the dirt (indoors) we'll also have a meeting and relay information on upcoming events and have participants and members share information.
If you need to have a snack or want to have a beverage, please plan to bring same with you.
If you know friends who are interested in native plants or who might be interested in the NoVA Wild Ones group, please let them know about us and if you invite them and they want to attend, please make sure we know and let us know if they will need activity materials.
Thank you.
